Dummy SSC board exams for students
More than exams it is the fear of exams that has become the cause of stress and suicides among school children. To overcome this problem, the Navi Mumbai Shikshan Sankool has started dummy SSC board exams under the chairmanship of MLA Sandeep Naik. The exams are organized under the guidance of MP Sanjeev Naik and MLA Ganesh Naik. Each year around 10,000 students participate in the exams. This year it will be benefiting around 15,000 students.
MLA Sandeep Naik informs, "The pattern of the examination is similar to that of board exams. The student is provided with a hall ticket, a question paper, an answer sheet etc. It is aimed to remove the stress of examination that bogs down students. To motivate them we are also giving cash prizes of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 to the first, second and third rankers respectively".
In all there are 24 examination centres. Centres for Vashi and Koper Khairane are as follows.
In Vashi they are New Bombay high School, Saint Marry High School and Manisha Municipal School. While in Koper Khairane they are R F Naik School and Dnyan Vikas Vidyalay.

The schedule for the exams is as follows
02/01/2010 3 pm -5 pm Mathematics
03/01/2010 11 am-2 pm Hindi/Sanskriti
03/01/2010 3 pm-5 pm Geometry
09/01/2010 3 pm-5 pm Science I
10/01/2010 11 am-2 pm English (Marathi Medium)
10/01/2010 11 am-2 pm Marathi (English Medium)
10/01/2010 3 pm-5 pm Science II
