Journalists remember the martyrs at peace rally
On Martyr's Day, Shaheed Naman Va Janjagruti Samiti, an autonomous body of Navi Mumbai journalists in coordination with local NGO's namely Sarva Dharmiya Vikas Manch, Vashi Gaon, Maharashtra Yuva Parishad, and others organised a candle peace rally from Vashi Railway Station to Shivaji Chowk Vashi. This was followed by revolutionary songs and a play on Bhagat Singh written by Narayan Bhattacharya and performed by youth of Vashi and Turbhe region.
Poet and writer Jagdish Gambhir expressed his feeling in poetic way, while principal Afiz Qureshi and Megnath Bhagat and Bhagwan Keshbhat shared their views on the role of youth towards the nation.
The rally was successful due to the efforts of journalists Vinod Pradhan, Nagmani Pandey, Artist Kishore Biswas and others. It received participation from students and parents of Wonderland School, Kharghar, representatives from Fine Art Society, SMS group, Youth Khalsa, and others.
It was announced that a mega event will be organised in the forthcoming year where all the religious institutes will take part to spread the message of equality and peace.
