IPL, fun and frolic at Maharaja Society

IPL, fun and frolic at Maharaja Society
At DY Patil Stadium, the supporters of Mumbai Indians were cheering for the team whole-heartedly. A similar scene was seen at Maharaja Society, Sector 3, Vashi where the members put up a big screen at the premises to view the IPL final. This eve was celebrated like a festive eve in the society.
Children and youth were seen with the placards and flags of Mumbai Indian as well as Chennai Super Kings. Some people were engrossed in serious discussion on the turning points while others were found shouting with every four, six and wicket fall.
M Nandukumar, coordinator of the event informed, "Under the banner of Maharaja Welfare Club we organise such events. We want all our members to enjoy the events."
KS Ravi, one of the members informed, "We have initiated the club just six months back and have 40 members. Since then we have organised various cultural events each month."
Sriram Varahan, a young member expressed, "Events like these help us learn various aspects of management and moreover are full of enjoyment."
Explaining the way of working Nandukumar informed, "We organise open meets with our members and ask them to come up with the new ideas and accordingly events are organised. The best part is that it is not organised under the society's account instead individuals add up their contribution and bring in ice cream, soft drinks, snacks, etc."
